Hot Spots explores urban transformations and social interactions which emerge through the experience of leisure. By combining the simple bike ride with the psychogeographical wandering, the artists attempt to define leisure zones, be they well delineated recreational areas, or created by spontaneous actions. Through Hot Spots, they question the attitudes and perceptions that are thereby fashioned in these areas, the freedom and codification of the journeys, and how the landscape is shaped and experienced. Hot Spots evolves on a daily basis, lurking within hot spots of activity.

The project is divided into three parts: Nocturnal or diurnal excursions by the artists on two bicycles equipped with emitting and recording devices, audio-video strolls through the Viger square and a continuously updated Web site.
